Everything in the Purple Ocean ecosystem: the Wiki, Map, Manual, and Tools, are designed to guide operators through complex laws, systems, and business functions. But ultimately, how they use that information is up to them.

Think of us as their navigation system.

They still need to drive the car.

Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using any part of the Purple Ocean ecosystem (the “Platform”), including the Map, Manual, Tools, and Partner Directory, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part, don’t use the Platform.

2. Educational Use Only

Purple Ocean Agency LLC (“Purple Ocean”) provides information, resources, templates, and tools for general informational and educational purposes only.

Nothing on this site constitutes:

• Legal advice
• Financial advice
• Tax guidance
• Professional representation of any kind

Always consult qualified professionals (including licensed attorneys and CPAs) before making business, legal, or financial decisions.

3. No Attorney–Client Relationship

Using this Platform does not create an attorney–client, consultant–client, or fiduciary relationship between you and Purple Ocean or any of its contributors.

4. Accuracy & Updates

We do our best to keep all content accurate, updated, and relevant to current New York cannabis laws, but regulations change often, and we can’t guarantee absolute accuracy. You use this information at your own risk.

5. Liability Limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Purple Ocean and its affiliates, directors, employees, or contributors are not liable for any loss, damages, fines, penalties, or consequences resulting from the use of this Platform or reliance on its content.

If you operate a dispensary, you already know: OCM doesn’t play. Neither do we. So double-check your filings, talk to your lawyer, and don’t forward your regulatory notices to us expecting a miracle.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, structure, design, copy, and visuals across the Map, Manual, and Tools are the intellectual property of Purple Ocean Agency LLC and protected under U.S. and international copyright law.

You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or resell any portion of the Platform without express written consent.

We don’t just enforce this, we track it.

7. Data & Privacy

We take data protection seriously.

We don’t sell user data.

We collect limited analytics to improve performance and usability, not to monetize your information.

8. Third-Party Vendors & Links

The Platform includes links to third-party tools, partners, and resources. These are for your convenience, not our liability.

We don’t control or endorse any third-party content, and we’re not responsible for what happens once you leave our site.

9. No Guarantees

Success in cannabis retail depends on hundreds of factors, from zoning to staffing to how many times your POS crashes on 4/20.

We can give you the map, but only you can drive it.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes are effective immediately upon posting.

If something big changes, we’ll tell you, not bury it in fine print.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in New York County, NY.
